Welcome to the Greenfield Union School District team, dedicated to providing the highest quality education to all students. We are pleased to provide you with the District's Employee Handbook, containing important information, including how to find information, how to communicate successfully, employee resources, and references to Board Policies, regulations, and procedures that will guide the way for employees to have a successful year and work experience.
We believe we are all more effective when everyone understands their relationship to the entire district and knows their rights and responsibilities. All of us are trustees of the public confidence and stewards of the community's greatest assets, students, by dedicating ourselves to performing efficiently and effectively.
Greenfield Union recognizes that the success of our students and programs hinges on effective personnel. We desire to maintain safe and supportive working conditions that will retain and attract highly qualified staff members who are dedicated to the education and welfare of our students. The District's personnel policies and related regulations are designed to ensure a supportive, positive climate. They are consistent with collective bargaining agreements and conform to state and federal laws and regulations.
The information in this handbook is intended to provide direction to all employees. Several Board Policies and District procedures have been abbreviated and summarized. As such, the handbook is not a substitute for official Board Policies, Administrative Regulations, or practices. These policies and procedures can change from time to time. We encourage all staff to become acquainted with the handbook and refer to it when they have questions.
Finally, whether you are a certificated employee, a classified employee, or an administrator, you are vital to the educational process and to our Board-approved Mission that "Greenfield is a student-centered district dedicated to preparing each student for a productive life academically, physically, socially, emotionally, and economically."
With regards,
