District employees are expected to conduct themselves in ways that uphold the public trust, support the mission of the District’s educational programs, and contribute to a safe, respectful, and positive school environment.
In accordance with California Education Code Section 44050, the District maintains strict professional standard expectations regarding staff interactions with students. Employees must maintain appropriate physical, emotional, and digital boundaries at all times. Prohibited conduct includes, but is not limited to:
Any individual who suspects or has knowledge of an improper relationship between a staff member and a student has a legal obligation to report the conduct immediately to school administration, in accordance with California mandated reporter statutes.
