Business Overview

Message from the Business Dept.

Welcome to the Business Department. Our number one priority is to provide a sound fiscal foundation for our district in order to provide for the needs of our students, and support our staff with competitive salaries and benefits so we can attract and retain quality employees.

At Greenfield, we actively plan for the future to provide the fiscal resources necessary to grow and maintain appropriate facilities, technology, nutrition, and operational security for the district. We are pleased to report that over the past few years, Greenfield has been improving facilities for our students, families, and staff.  The addition of Crescent Elementary, the modernization of Fairview Elementary, and the Gymnasium coming soon to Greenfield Middle School are all great achievements for our district.

Greenfield strives to maintain transparency and financial accountability. Daily monitoring of the budget is actively occurring, looking at revenues and expenses, and assuring we are responsibly spending what we've budgeted. Stakeholders have the opportunity to provide input into the annual budget presented in June and updates to the budget are provided to the Board of Trustees throughout the year.  After the end of the fiscal year, a final update is presented when the Unaudited Actuals are brought to the public and the Board of Trustees in August, showing our financial reconciliation of the past year.  As each of these reports are presented to the Board, the public is invited to comment and provide input.  We are grateful to our business partners and community stakeholders and will continue to provide excellent service to our community.
