2023 - 2024 Enrollment Packet

Dear Parents or Guardians,

Thank you for your interest in enrollment for your student to attend the Greenfield Union School District’s (GFUSD) After School SUCCESS Program (ASSP).  The program operates each day after school dismissal until 6:00 P.M. (exception of McKee Middle School, which operates until 6:15 P.M.). Each day, ASSP offers a nutritious snack, an opportunity to work on their homework, tutoring in math and reading, and various recreation and enrichment activities. Participation in our program affords your student additional learning opportunities and educational experiences.

In order to provide continued Professional Development to our staff, ASSP will be closed up to four days during the school year. Dates will be provided to Parents/Guardians in August. Our program will also release students early on all minimum days, during Daylight Savings Time, and before school events, such as Open House and Back to School Nights.

Our program is grant-funded by the California Department of Education and is strictly based on student attendance.  We value the time with your student and the opportunity to “Level the Playing Field” by providing support and building their capacity to succeed. We appreciate your commitment to supporting your students in our program. They are expected to attend each day until the end of the program at 6:00 P.M. (6:15 P.M. for McKee Middle School).

Priority for student placement in the After School SUCCESS Program will be based on the following criteria:

  • Academic Need
  1. State and district assessments
  2. At risk of retention
  3. English language proficiency
  • Regular attendance record
  • Past behavior/discipline records
  • Middle school participation in extracurricular and sports activities

Our goal is to provide a space for every student; however, enrollment is NOT based on a first-come, first-serve basis.  Some students may be added to a waitlist and be placed in ASSP as space becomes available.

Note: 5th Grade students must submit the completed registration form to the After School Office at the Middle School the student will attend next year.  Applications will not be transferred to another school site.

We look forward to an exciting year.

Sincerely,

Kimberly Reedy
