LCAP 2023-2024

Districts are required to adopt Local Control and Accountability Plans (LCAP) that disclose how funds will be spent to provide high-quality educational programs.  The goals must include both district-wide goals and goals for each numerically significant student subgroup in the district.  One of the main procedural requirements is that a district consults with all stakeholders: students, parents, school employees, bargaining units, and with the advice of the district-level parent advisory committees.  This newly developed plan from the state of California gives more guidance in developing fiscal and academic plans designed to improve performance at the local level.

The state has identified the following eight priority areas:

  •  Student Achievement
  •  Student Engagement
  •  Other Student Outcomes
  •  School Climate
  •  Parental Involvement
  •  Implementation of Common Core State Standards
  •  Access to a Broad Curriculum
  •  Basic Services
