It is with great sadness that we share with you of the passing of Greenfield Board of Trustee Member Richard Saldana. Mr. Saldana passed away with family by his side after a short illness on April 25th. Mr. Saldana was a valued member of our Board of Trustees since 2018 and will be greatly missed. In 2022, he was reappointed to his seat on the board after running unopposed in the November election.  

Mr. Saldana was a great supporter of the Greenfield Community and a long-time member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles.  During his time on the board, his priorities included the construction and modernization of district classrooms and buildings, the development of a Dual Language Immersion program, the addition of Social Workers at all school sites,  and the construction of gymnasium facilities at middle schools.

We are grateful for Mr. Saldana's service to the Greenfield Union School District. We will keep the Saldana family in our thoughts and prayers.
