The Teacher Induction Program is designed to support first and second year teachers in all areas of teaching. Each participating teacher is assigned to a Support Provider to assist them in becoming familiar with district policies, California Standards of the Teaching Profession, curriculum, and effective classroom management. As part of the induction component, first and second year teachers participating in TIP now earn their clear credential through the Teacher Induction Program.
Support Providers meet with their Participating Teachers at least once a week. Together, they discuss the needs of the Participating Teacher. The Support Provider is there to assist the Participating Teacher to meet these needs. The TIP program also provides professional development for participants designed to support their attainment of the California Standards for the Teaching Profession.
TIP is based on the California Standards for the Teaching Profession (CSTP)
