LCFF – Local Control Funding Formula
The Local Control funding Formula (LCFF) is the funding for public schools. This funding will allocate educational funds based on specific student needs and will allow flexibility at the local level.
Along with the local control comes a new accountability structure. The LCFF requires each district to develop a Local Accountability and Control Plan (LCAP) in consultation with the community. We invite you to engage in the process of developing our plan.
LCAP – Local Control Accountability Plan
Districts are required to adopt Local Control and Accountability Plans (LCAP) that disclose how funds will be spent to provide high-quality educational programs. The goals must include both district-wide goals and goals for each numerically significant student subgroup in the district. One of the main procedural requirements is that a district consults with all stakeholders: students, parents, school employees, bargaining units, and with the advice of the district-level parent advisory committees. This newly developed plan from the state of California gives more guidance in developing fiscal and academic plans designed to improve performance at the local level.
The state has identified the following eight priority areas:
LCP - Learning Continuity Plan
GFUSD Learning Continuity and Attendance Plan BOARD APPROVED (English)
GFUSD Learning Continuity and Attendance Plan BOARD APPROVED (Spanish)
We encourage you to join us in developing our local district plan. This can be done by completing our on-line survey, attending site or district stakeholder meetings, or speaking to your administration.
